It was a beautiful Saturday morning and after our chapter 9 meeting, Steve Schroeder organized a ride to Litchfield Illinois to visit Niehaus Cycle Sales. Russ Wiedner led the group over the back roads and across the Grafton Ferry into Illinois. We traveled through farmland and several small towns. I had no ideal where we were but as Jack Ross always tells me "Follow the bike in front of you and you won’t get lost!" Rich Aubuchon was in front of me and had installed a fancy new brake light system that was not working quite like it was intended. It kept flashing on and off the entire trip so we really couldn’t tell what he was doing. (As if we could tell with a good brake light!) Scott Jenkins made his first ride with us and I think he had a good time. Only time will tell if he goes on another ride with us. Steve brought up the rear and we all rode with comfort knowing that he had our backside. We had a good lunch, looked around Niehaus and returned via the interstate. It was a great ride with good friends and a loving God watching over us. Praise God!
